Good afternoon ladies and gantelmen, thank you for the time and opportunity given to me.

Let me introduce myself. My name is Maria Febriana Mite. I wet mr Yosep Sran Mau and mis Agnes
Simamora at Department of Agrotechnology, Agriculture Faculty, Nusa Cendana University.
We want to presentation our research with the topic “Isolation and Identification of Endophytic Fungi
in Several Coffee Plant Varieties (Coffea sp.) From Bajawa, East Nusa Tenggara”

One type of biological control agent is endophytic fungi. Endophytic fungi are fungi that live on plant
tissues such as leaves, flowers, fruits or plant roots but do not harm the plant. Endophytic fungi are found
in almost all plants, one of which is on coffee plants. This study aims to determine the types of
endophytic fungi found in the tissues of coffee plants (Coffea sp.) Arabica, Robusta, Yellow caturra and
Kartika varieties that have the potential to be biological control agents. In this study, an exploration of
endophytic fungi on leaves, fruits and twigs of coffee plants was carried out. Coffee plant samples were
taken from coffee fields owned by farmers in Bajawa, East Nusa Tenggara and reviewed by research at
the UPT Bioscience Laboratory of Nusa Cendana University from March to June 2023. From this study,
33 isolates of endophytic fungi consisting of 19 genera were obtained, namely: Trichoderma, Penicillium,
Fusarium, Chepalosporium, Papulaspora, Cladosporium, Colletotrichum, Gliocladium, Paecilomyces,
Nigrospora, Aspergillus, Helicocephalum, Mucor, Cladophialophora, Phialophora, Phoma, Septonema,
Hansfordia and Aureobasidium.

That’s all about my presentation today. Thank you so much for your attention. I hope that you can find
something useful from my presentation.
