Weather-guard Ultra

USAGE An exterior high quality emulsion paint based on an all acrylic resin
combined with an algaecide and fungicide. Suitable for use on most sound,
dry exterior masonry and rendering, including concrete, roughcast and
brickwork which are normally suitable for painting. Eg :- rustic or fair-faced
bricks.

Painting of parapet, free standing and retaining walls below ground level
damp-proof course is inadvisable. In these situations, it may be difficult to
prevent moisture penetration and consequent failure of the paint coating.

CLEANING UP Clean all equipment with clean water immediately after use.
SURFACE PREPARATION Cleaning :
Use a stiff scraper or high pressure water jetting thoroughly to remove any
loose or flaking material, mould or algae under strict supervision.

Mould & Algae :

To kill any residual growth, the affected areas should then be treated with
Multilac Disinfecting Wall Wash. Apply 1 coat with proper PPE (Personnel
Protective equipment) for safety measures. Apply using a worn brush and
leave for 24 - 48 hours, then wash, and scrub the surface with clean high
pressure water jet to remove bleach residuals and dead growth. In severe
cases, it may be necessary to repeat the treatment.

Removal of loosely bound materials :

Plastered surface need to be clean and dry. Use high pressure water
jetting to remove all loose paint and scale in order to build good adhesion
properties.

Repairs and making good :

Open out large cracks and defective paint film. Repair them with Multilac
Wall Putty mixed with Multilac Weather guard Flexible Elastomeric Wall
Primer in a ratio of 4:1 respectively. Repair minor / hairline cracks with
Multilac Weather guard Flexible Elastomeric Wall Primer and cure
overnight.

Stains and leakages :

Repair this source of any leaks and drips, which cause stains. Allow the
wall to dry out. If the stain reappears, use 2 coats of Multilac Supreme Life
Water Proofing Sealer (Solvent based) to seal the surface through and
leave it to dry for 24-48 hours.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE On absorbent surfaces, apply a thinned sealing coat of Weather guard
Masonry Paint. The normal finishing process is two full coats of Weather
guard Masonry Paint, but on previously painted surfaces in good condition,
where similar colour are used, one coat may be sufficient. Very slight
colour variation may occur between cans. When using several cans mix in
a large container to ensure colour uniformity.

Stir thoroughly before use.
