Title: Education
The videos I've watched are all about the quality of education of Filipino
students and Japanese students. The first video is about a day in the life of a
Japanese university student. The quality of education in Japan is much better
than in the Philippines. In Japan, they have better facilities than the
Philippines. In rankings, the Philippines is the lowest in terms of reading
comprehension. I think that the government should focus more on education
not just because of the rankings but to better in aspects like reading and
mathematics.

The video “Day in the Life of a Typical Japanese University Student” has many
practices that I think the Philippines should imitate. The first one is the teikiken,
a commuter pass this can allow students to take unlimited rides to a specified
route. The second one is starting classes late in The Philippines classes usually
start at 7 AM, while Yusuke starts his class at 11 AM, And I think that when
classes start late it will help us to be more focused and we will be able to pay
attention and participate more in class. I think the most essential thing to
consider in improving education in the Philippines is to expand alternative
learning systems. The government needs to focus on expanding alternative
learning systems, because some students may not fit into the learning system,
we currently use right now for example the online class.

There are 3 problems that I think hinder the quality of education in the
Philippines. The first one is the outdated curriculum. Most curriculums do not
adapt to a variety of learning styles and do not prepare students for real-world
situations. The second one is the poor quality of teaching and poor quality of
teachers. Some teachers barely discuss the topic and disregard the students if
they can cope and some teachers just give many assessments that is why
students nowadays are more often stressed and not learning much. And lastly
poor learning facilities or environment. Some places lack facilities for the
students to study, especially the ones living in the rural areas. The government
should focus on these problems in order to improve the quality of education in
our country.
