For all VDR: Acceleration and hull stresses must be recorded where ship is fitted with IMO mandated monitoring equipment. Wind speed
and direction must be recorded where ship is fitted with suitable sensor.
For S-VDR: Must be recorded if sensor data is available in accordance with IEC61162).

Radar data may be substituted by AIS if the radar for technical reasons cannot be connected to an S-VDR.
