With an abundance of resources available to me, such as open evenings, taster

sessions, and helpful teachers, Holy Cross College became a top contender for the
ideal place to continue my education. Not only did the college provide me with
invaluable support in navigating Level 3 sciences, but its commitment to the
success of its students, from assisting with UCAS applications to gaining work
experience, showed me the college's genuine commitment to personal growth and
professional development. The positive testimonials from former studens further
solidified my decision to attend Holy Cross College and pursue my academic and
career ambitions.

Pursuing A-Level Chemistry, Biology and Psychology will equip me with a foundation
that I will build upon in my journey towards a career in medicine. The diverse
array of subjects of each subject have their own contribution to this, providing
both insight into the workings of the human form and function as well as an
appreciation for how human emotion and character can influence our wellness and
sense of well-being.
Studying Chemistry will enhance my knowledge of the chemical processes that occur
in the human body, as well as how drugs work and interact with the body. Having
this essential understanding provides researchers with a crucial skill that is
pivotal for the discovery of new drug treatments and development of novel
therapies. Biology will provide me with an in-depth understanding of how living
organisms function, including the structure and function of the human body, its
organs, and systems. This is crucial for understanding disease processes,
diagnosing illness, and providing effective treatment, as well as for developing a
strong foundation in biomedical research.
Psychology, on the other hand, will help me understand the human mind, including
the role of motivation, personality traits, and coping mechanisms in health and
disease. By studying Psychology, I would develop important skills such as active
listening and empathy, which are crucial for building trust and rapport with
patients, delivering effective therapy, and for conducting research in related
fields such as neurology and psychiatry.
Together, these subjects will provide me with a comprehensive understanding of the
different aspects that make up the human body, mind and emotions, which I am
certain that will suitably equipped to face the tests and possibilities anticipated
in my forthcoming career dedicated to healthcare
