Golden Circle

The Golden Circle is a concept popularized by Simon Sinek in his TED Talk and book, "Start
with Why: How Great Leaders Inspire Everyone to Take Action." The model is a way to understand
and communicate the fundamental principles that drive successful individuals and organizations.

What I Reflected:
The Golden Circle consists of three concentric circles, with "Why" in the center, surrounded by
"How," and finally, "What" on the outermost circle. Here's a breakdown of what each circle
represents:

Why: This innermost circle represents the core purpose or belief of an individual or organization.
Sinek argues that truly successful and influential entities start with "why" because it taps into the
emotional and motivational aspect of human behavior.

How: The middle circle represents the strategies or methods used to achieve the "why." It's about
the specific actions or processes that an individual or organization uses to realize their purpose.
These are the means by which the "why" is pursued.

What: The outermost circle represents the products, services, or tangible results of an individual or
organization's efforts. This is "what" they do on a day-to-day basis, or what they produce.

Summary:
Sinek's argument is that many companies and leaders focus on "what" they do,
but the most successful and inspiring ones focus on "why" they do it. He suggests
that people are more motivated and loyal to a cause or purpose than to a product or
service. Sinek uses examples like Apple to illustrate this concept. Apple's "why" might
be to challenge the status quo and think differently, and the "how" is by making
beautifully designed products. The "what" is the actual product lineup, like iPhones
and MacBooks.

Message for Organizaons:

The Golden Circle model encourages organizations and individuals to start by
clearly defining their “why” and then working outwards to “how” and “what”. By
communicating the “why” effectively, they can inspire and connect with others who
share their beliefs and values.
