Leadership

When I was at my third year in university, me and my team had to

work on a project in a course called stochastic processes and was the
leader my team. We faced many problems as the project content was
about something new and we didn’t have sufficient information for
such project. I started to motivate my team and we broke the project
into smaller points. We did our best to do research to collect data,
watch tutorials and read articles to guide us to achieve our project
goals. Finally, we finished the project successfully and discussed it with
our professor. We got the full mark and received a bonus.

Tight deadline

I remember at my first semester at the university, me and my team

had to work on an AI project using python and we were asked to
deliver the project within 3 days. That was a very tight timeframe, on
the other hand we were new python learners. So, we had to do a lot of
research to be able to implement such a project. I started to motivate
my team, we were searching and implementing parallelly that helped
us to finish the project faster. The professor was impressed with our
work and she gave us the full mark.

Situation of failure

Once I joined the university, there was an artificial intelligence

competition launched by Google and I applied to join the competition.
After two weeks I received an email from Google to inform me that I
was rejected. I understood that I was still a new leaner and I didn’t
meet the prerequisites for this competition. I didn’t give up, I started
to learn more, work on many real-world projects, develop my skills,
and acquire new skills that would help me to be eligible to apply in the
future.

Situation in which you resolved a conflict

During my internship as a data scientist, I had to work in a team of

five members, they were from different faculties and the didn’t even
know each other. I facilitated a dialogue where the team members
actively listened to each other, I organized a team meeting where
members could express their ideas openly. I set the tone for a
respectful and collaborative discussion, ensuring that each person had
an opportunity to speak without interruption. I encouraged them to
find common ground and shared goals. Finally, we finished our
internship successfully.
