Theory and Current Practice of Deterrence in International Security.

ANALYSIS:

Nuclear weapons to meet the challenges of preparing for and preventing full scale nuclear
war between the United States and the Soviet Union. The contributions to this special issue
are given in a post Cold War context, with a resurgent and aggressive Russia. The set of
articles on the theory of deterrence, the current practice of its application to deter the
world and, if necessary, defend what belongs to us through NATO conventional forces and
the eastern flank of Europe against aggression, and a critical analysis of its relevance to
cybernetics and hybrid warfare that it gives us in reading. It is something tragic and
important from the real events experienced all these years, it is an old practice, easy to
define and describe, widely used but unevenly effective and of doubtful reliability. Rising to
prominence after World War II and the advent of nuclear weapons, deterrence became the
central resource for maintaining international and national security and stability between
and within states in an era of severe conflict.
The greatest success has been that nuclear weapons have not been used for destructive
purposes since the end of World War II in 1945, it is both good and bad, but in those years
it was good that the war ended and that there were no more deaths. And many more
mishaps of the cold war since it lasted many years, until now it is bad due to the advances
in technology, you have to be a little afraid of it, what civilizations around the world can do
today.
The maintenance of stability in international relations, the conduct of violence and war in
international and national contexts, and in political affairs. It is the use of threats to block
or reduce the possibility of inflicting serious damage in such a way that the worst serious
damage will occur in both fact and fiction, thus easily maintaining the existence of damage-
inflicting capabilities and it is applied periodically, so available deterrence capabilities
provide a degree of continuing concern and a regular desire to at least eliminate oneself,
with nuclear weapons and threats. The end of the Cold War saw a serious effort to reduce
the reliance on deterrence, particularly nuclear deterrence, in international politics, was
difficult.
