I. Objectives:
A. Recognize words, phrases and sentences with ay as it sounds in day.
B. Note details in a selection read.

III. Procedure:

C. Motivation:
Do you have a pet at home?
How do you take care of our pet?
Who among you have been to a pet shop?
What can you see in a pet shop?
Today, we will learn new words with ay as in day.

D. Presentation:
Teacher introduces the word family ay, Pupils repeat ay.
Pupil sounds initial d and ay. Then read day.
Do the same with other words in ay family.
The word are read by the whole class, then by groups, by rows and by individual
pupils.

Do you want to play at the bay? Why?
