A warm welcome to the 2023 MILO Junior Champions League


(MJCL) presented by MILO!

The MJCL offers weekly competition from Under 8s to Under 17s


with the goal of providing youth teams the opportunity to play
regular competitive matches and bringing together grassroots
academies throughout Malaysia.

Following the successful 2023 Season A Milo Junior Champions


League. We are looking forward to start our Season B from
20th May to 30th July.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank our title


sponsor MILO for their support to make this league possible.

HIGHLIGHT

The event organizer will provide one trophy for the Champions
to bring home and one trophy with the Champion club name
engraved and to be showcased at JSA Arena Hall Of Fame.

Trophy for ALL age group Champions.

Medals for Champions, 1st and 2nd Runner ups.

All Season A teams will be given automatic entry to Season


B and C for all age categories.

THE 2023 MILO JUNIOR CHAMPIONS LEAGUE (MJCL)
SEASON B WILL CONSIST OF 7 CATEGORIES (BOYS
U8, U10, U12, U14 AND U17. GIRLS U12 AND U15).

LEAGUE CHAMPIONS FOR 2023 SEASON FOR ALL


CATEGORIES WILL COMPETE IN THE GRAND FINALE
IN NOVEMBER 2023. THE CHAMPION WILL BE CROWNED
AS ULTIMATE MILO CHAMPION OF CHAMPIONS 2023.

DIVISION

TO ENSURE MATCHES REMAIN BALANCED, TEAMS WILL


BE SPLIT INTO ABILITY-BASED DIVISIONS. NAMELY
PREMIER AND CHAMPIONSHIP DIVISION.

THE GROUPINGS WILL BE DECIDED BASED ON THE


FOLLOWING CRITERIA:

IF A TEAM IS NEW TO THE LEAGUE, THEY WILL


BE REQUIRED TO SHARE THEIR MOST RECENT
TOURNAMENT RESULTS.

DIVISIONS ARE INTENDED TO MATCH TEAMS WITH


SIMILAR ABILITY AND TO AID PLAYERS DEVELOPMENT
AND CREATE GOOD COMPETITION AMONGST COMPETING
TEAMS.

THE VENUE &
PITCH LAYOUT
Matches will be played @ JSA ARENA, Setia Alam.
All pitches feature state-of-the-art 60mm thickness synthetic turf
imported from Netherland.

SCHEDULE

This coming Season B will commence on the weekend of


20th May and finish on 30th July 2023. Each age group will be
divide into 2 division (Premier Division & Championship Division).
Typically U8s, U10s, & U12s will play on Saturday, while U14s
& U17s will play on Sunday.

PLAYER
REGISTRATION
The number of players a team may register will depend on the age group.
Please see the chart below for player limits for each category.

Teams must provide the following for ALL players:


• Original MYKID / IC /Passport
• Passport size photo

REGISTRATION PROCESS

To register your team before a match, your entire team should proceed to the
registration desk with their ID Cards no later than 30 minutes before kick off.

The registration team will inspect the ID and stamp the players’ hands
providing they match the photo on their ID Card. If a player forgets to bring
their ID Card, they will be required to verify their identity at a separate counter
using another form of identification. If the league registration team cannot
verify a player’s identity, that player will not be allowed to play.

Teams may register players throughout the season as long as they have not
registered exceeded the maximum number of players for their age group.

GUIDELINE

AGE CHALLENGES
In the case of a player age challenge, please give the number of the
player in question to the pitch Marshall at the end of the game. The
pitch Marshall will ask the opposition coach for the player’s name and
their date of birth will be checked in the registration forms.
If a team is found to have used an overage player, a 3–0 win will be
awarded to the opposing team. If a team is found to have done this on
multiple occasions it will lead to them being removed from the league.

PLAYERS TRANSFER
If the player has played for another team during the season they will not be
permitted to play for any other club. Player transfers will not be permitted
during the season.

A player can only be transferred to a different team when registering for a


new season.

AGE GROUP
GUIDELINE
Each club / team needs tp pay a RM500 registration fee per age group and
a deposit of RM500 (to be returned at the end of each season).
The match day fee varies depending on the age group as per table below.

Payment of the full registration fee of RM500 and a returnable deposit


of RM500 must be made before the season starts to confirm your place
in the league.

The match day fees will be due for each team every match week. Fees
must be paid 3 days before a team takes to the field

COMMUNICATION
Managers or coaches will be expected to communicate via email or
mobile phone.
Team representatives will also be expected to attend any league meetings
held by the league management team.

CODE OF
CONDUCT
The MILO Champions League aims to provide a positive sporting environment for all
players, parents and coaches. Therefore we require that all attendees follow the
code of conduct listed below. Failure to comply could lead to removal from the
league.

1.Encourage members of both teams, and keep all comments positive. Abusive or
profane language will not be tolerated.

2.Criticizing or harassing the officials, coaches, opponents, or fans will not be


tolerated.

3.The use or consumption of alcohol, drugs or tobacco during games by the pitch is
prohibited.

4.Parents shall never falsify their child’s age in order that they be assigned to a
certain league or team.

5.Parents, players, and coaches will respect all coaches, referees and opponent
players at all times, and will have sportsmanship as their number one priority in all
games and practices.

6.Coaches shall not disobey or attempt to circumvent league rules / regulations or


their intent.

7.Coaches shall not attempt to recruit or influence a player or parent to leave their
current team.

8.Coaches shall not permit an injured player to enter or re-enter a game against the
advice or consent of their parent or the safety committee volunteer on duty.

All games and matches played in the MILO Junior Champions League
adhere to the following rules as set out by the League Committee.

1.DRAW FOR LEAGUE


A fixture list will be circulated to all participating teams and published on our
Footsy Apps at least 1 week before the first match is due to kick off.

2.PLAYERS
All teams must abide strictly to the age categories and player registration
guideline, with the exception of female players, who may be one year older in
each age category.

If a team has not maxed out their squad they may register players throughout
the season. Teams are required to complete the registration form and submit a
photocopy of birth certificate/identity card or passport to the League Committee.

3.PITCH AND FOOTWEAR


Players may wear studded soccer shoes with plastic studs (metal studded soccer
boots are not allowed). Players must wear shin-guards throughout the course of
the league.

4.RED AND YELLOW CARDS


Players shown a Red card are sent-off immediately and banned from play for one
(1) full match. Yellow card will not be carried forward to next game.

5.OFFSIDE
The offside rule will not be used in Boys U8 & U10 and Girls U12 & U15. The
offside rule will apply in the U12, U14 and U17 age-groups.

6.SUBSTITUTIONS
Substitutions may happen at any time during the match provided the referee has
given consent. The substitute must wait for the player to leave the pitch before
entering.

7.MINIMUM NUMBER OF PLAYERS
The minimum number of players to start each half varies with age-group. If a
team fails to field the minimum number of players a walkover shall be awarded
to the opponents with full points and a registered score of 3–0 or the actual
score at the time of stopping play, whichever is the higher.

•Under-8 – minimum players: 5


•Under-10 – minimum players: 5
•Under-12 – minimum players: 7
•Under-14 – minimum players: 8
•Under-17 – minimum players: 8
•Under 12 & 15 Girls – minimum players: 5

8.TIME ALLOWANCE
A maximum of five (5) minutes allowance shall be allowed after the starting
whistle by the referee, after which a walkover shall be awarded to the
opponents with full points and a registered score of 3-0.

9.POINTS SYSTEM
Win: 3 points Draw: 1 point Loss: 0 points

10.TEAMS TIED IN THE LEAGUE


The League Champions will be the team with the most points at the end of the
season. Should there be a tie on points at the end of the league, goal
difference shall be used to determine the winner. If the teams are still level the
team that has the greatest number of goals scored will win. If they are still level
the team with the least goals against will win. If the teams are still level the
result between the teams when they played each other will decide their order.
Failing a distinction, the teams will play 3V3, 2V2 and 1V1 sudden death goal to
determine a Champion.

11. PROTEST
Any kind of protest can only be done by Team Manager / Coach
together with solid proof and a non-refundable fee of RM500

11.JURISDICTION
In the event of a protest or dispute, the League Committee shall have
sole jurisdiction in settling the matter

12.INSURANCE
It is highly recommended that teams obtain their own insurance
cover before play. The event organizer is not responsible for any
accident, injury or death that may occur during this tournament, and
all teams enter at their own risk

13.SUPPLEMENTARY RULES
The Rules and Regulations as depicted are current at the time of
printing. The organizing committee reserves the rights to add, delete
and/or vary the said Rules and Regulations at any time as it deems fit
