ASSESSMENT TASK : Return Demonstration

1. Prepare the materials.
2. Do handwashing
3. Put on sterile gloves.
4. Call for the baby out, time and gender.
5. Immediate drying of the newborn while doing the APGAR scoring
6. Remove the wet blanket and replace it with dry one and put on the
bonnet.
7. Initiate skin to skin contact.
8. Put on the identification bracelet.
9. Nudge the baby to the breast of the mother
10. Do the anthropometric measurement:
a. Head circumference
b. Chest circumference
c. Abdominal circumference
d. Body length
e. Weight
11. Check for the patency of the anus
12. Administer ophthalmic ointment
13. Administer Vitamin k
14. Administer Hepa B vaccine
15. Keep the baby warm.
16. Remove the gloves.
17. Do hand washing.
18. Document the procedure done.
