No: TSC/430146 please quote Date:08/11/2019 Lwangu Eupherecia ‘Through: TSC County 01 APPOINTMENT Following the implementation of the Policy on Appointment and Deployment of Institutional Administrators 2017, the position of Senior Master is now a substantive appointment Ithas been decided that you be appointed as Seni 10 with effect from 2017 and retained in your current station under the follow Master III T- § 1g terms: le CS Grades This appointment is subject to the provisions of the Code of Regulations for Teachers (2015), the Code of Conduct and Ethics for Teachers (2015) and administrative cireulars which may be issued from time to time and Resp) ‘Your duties and responsibilities at this level shall be to:~ 1, Prepare lesson plans, lesson notes, timetables, to ensure th chemes of work and maintain academic standards in the school the syllabus is covered in time for evaluation; 2. Tes h subjects of specialization to impart knowledge, skills and attitudes to learners; 3. Evaluate learners on subjects of specialisation and prepare them for national and other examinations; 4, Initiate new ideas and programmes to ensure improvement in teaching and learning in the subjects of specialisation: 5. Embrace teamwork through collaborative planning and teaching to ensure consistency and improvement in curriculum delivery: 6. Serve as.a role model and maintain learner discipline: 7. Provide guidance and counselling services and instil norms and values for harmonious co-existence; 8. Ensure safety and health of learners; 9. Participate in workshops/seminars/symposiums to share ideas with a view to enhance knowledge in subject 10. Organize remedial actions to support learners with performance gaps; 11, Induct and guide new teachers and teacher trainees on their duties, the rules and culture of the institution; 12. Ensure proper and optimal utilisation of resources allocated for training and learning: 13. Coordinate preparation and production of course materials necessary for curriculum delivery; 14, Participate and/or conduct research in subjects of specialization, 15, Interpret and implement policy decisions in subjects of specialisation within the department so as to further knowledge: 16 Mentor and coach staff in subjects of specialisation to improve knowledge, skills and performance; 17, Supervise co-curricular activities to enhance learning and provide a broad spectrum for learners to share ideas and nurture innovations: 18. Ensure proper care and maintenance of institutional assets related to the teaching areas, 19. Participate in the development of the school’s master timetable; 20, Initiate the publication of research to contribute in the dissemination of knowledge: 21, Initiate and supervise income generating projects forthe institution to be self-reliant; and 22. Any other duty as may be assigned. Your performance as a Senior Master will be evaluated based on the annual performance targels in the performance contracting and/or appraisal instruments.
