JIS JAPANESE INDUSTRIAL STANDARD Translated and Published by Japanese Standards Association JIS B 0205-4 :2 (ISO 724») (JERI/JSA) ISO general purpose metric screw threads — Part 4: Basic dimensions TCS 21,040.10 Reference number : JIS B 0205-4 : 2001 (E) PROTECTED BY CopyriGHT 5S B 0205-4 : 2001 (ISO 724:1993) Foreword ‘This translation has been made based on the original Japanese Industrial Standard established by the Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry through deliberations at the Japanese Industrial Standards Committee according to the proposal of establishing a Japanese Industrial Standard from The Japan Research Institute for Screw Threads and Fasteners (JFRD/the Japanese Standards Association (JSA), with a draft of Industrial Standard based on the provision of Article 12 Clause 1 of the Industrial Standardization Law. By this Standard, JIS B 0205:1997 and JIS B 0207:1982 were withdrawn and replaced with JIS B 0205 Part 1 to Part 4. ‘This Standard has been made based on ISO 724:1993 ISO general-purpose metric screw threads — Basic dimensions for the purposes of making easy to compare this Standard with International Standard; to prepare Japanese Industrial Standard conforming with International Standard; and to propose a draft of International Standard which is based on Japanese Industrial Standard. SIS B 0205 series consist of 4 parts with the title of ISO general purpose metric screw threads. The values refer to the basic profile in accordance with JIS BO205-1 Remarks: The International Standard corresponding to this Standard is as follows. In addition, symbols which denote the degree of correspondence in the contents between the relevant International Standard and JIS are IDT (identical), MOD (modified), and NEQ (not equivalent) according to ISO/IEC Guide 21. The most recent editions of the standards (including amendments) shall be applied. JIS B 0101 Screw threads and fasteners — Vocabulary Remarks: The items cited from ISO 5408:1983 Cylindrical screw threads — Vocabulary are equivalent to the corresponding matters of the said standard. JIS B 0205-1 ISO general purpose metric screw threads — Part 1: Basie profile Remarks: ISO 68-1:1998 ISO general purpose screw threads — Basic profile — Part 1: Metric screw threads is identical with the said standard.
