Good morning, ladies and gentleman. First of all, let me thank you all for coming here today.

Let
me introduce myself. My name is… I’m from group 6. My gr has 5 members… Today, I’ll give
you some information about MKT segmentation of Coca Cola which is a global soft drink brand.
I’ll focus on 2 main parts. The first is targeting strategy . The second is the advantages and
disadvantages of the strategy used by Coca Cola
I. Ok. Let's get to the first part. The target strategy used by Coca is the
differentiated marketing strategy. Please join me in researching it.
Coca Cola has a distribution system in Grocery stores, supermarkets, and restaurants in more
than 200 countries around the world, attracting many customers and divided into different
segments

1. First is about gender:


- Both male and female are Coca Cola's target. However, these two segments have different
tastes and hobbies. For example,Coca Cola original taste preferrented by men because of its
sweetness and gas, but Coca Zero/Light/Energy/Plus are the best choice for women because
they are low in calories and don’t make them gain weight.

2. Next is age, in this segment, Coca-Cola divides customers into 2 segments:


- First, from 10 to 35 years old are potential customers. Coca Cola's products are always
diverse, suitable for the taste of young people, so they will prefer flavors of Coca cola original or
coffee that helps them stay focused at work.
-Regarding the second group of customers, people over 35 years old who tend to care about
health and healthy consumption, so they don’t like products with too much sugar and gas.
Therefore, Coca Cola has created a line of sugar-free and gas-free products to attract this group
of customers.

3. The final segmentation in this section is about income


Coca-Cola customers have incomes from low to high. Everyone can buy it. This brand provides
products with many different designs and sizes such as glass or plastic bottles and cans at
different prices to help consumers have many choices to suit their income.

II. Now, I'll move on to the final part of the presentation. Advantages and
disadvantages of Coca Cola's differentiated marketing strategy:
- Regarding advantages: bringing suitable products to many different customer groups and
markets has helped Coca Cola reach many subjects, thereby achieving a high total sales and
profit.
- Besides, the disadvantage of this strategy is that they have to face an increase in production
and trade costs. Especially the costs of product improvement, production, advertising activities,
market research and inventory.
