The United States also has rural areas, the difference is that in this country there are very
few areas where there are no communication services and electricity service.
The main economic activities in rural areas are: the production of wheat, corn, soybeans (it
is the world's largest producer of the latter two), cotton, potatoes, tomatoes, grapes,
oranges, rice, apples and lettuces. It also highlights the production of cattle, poultry and
pigs. The United States is the world's leading producer of meat, milk, eggs, and butter.
For its part, the United States also has some of the most inhabited urban areas on planet
earth. The national economy is sustained by industrial production, the largest industries are
steel, automobiles, airplanes, telecommunications, chemicals, electronics, food processing,
consumer goods, wood, computers, among others.
