My artwork is a painting of a road.

On the sides of the road there is grass and some

bushes. The sky in the painting is a sunset. The subject matter of the painting is the road.

My artwork is made from paint and a canvas. First I started by painting the sunset on the

top part of the canvas. Next, I outlined where I wanted the road to be. After that I painted the

sides of the road a dark green color and added black bushes. Lastly, I painted the road grey and

added the yellow and white lines to it.

I think that the world represents a place of opportunity, adventure, and discovery. I

painted a road because this could lead you to all of these things. To find new opportunities you

would have to have some way to get to them. Roads can lead to so many places, almost

anywhere. There is adventure when you are travling. New things and new experiences. You

could discover something you or anyone else didn't know.

My goals for this work were to do better layering and blending. I think that I did a good

job blending the sunset. My layering could have been better though. The lines on the road

probably could have used a few more coats.

My final thoughts on this painting is that it turned out pretty good. I like the way the

sunset looked with the sun still peeking over the horizon. I know next time I will do better

layering.
