W1009: PIER GATE TYPE 2 BUILDING INSTRUCTIONS

Introduction
This model is of gate buildings suitable for inclusion as
part of a pier or other terminal structure. The gates can
be connected to other models using elevated walkways,
and jetways can be fitted to them for embarking
passengers.
Each model contains a number of gates. All are
constructed in an identical manner.

General Notes
Read the general building instructions, and then these
instructions, before commencing construction.
The diagrams always show the unprinted side of the Fig 3 – Fitting the Roof
card in grey.
Fold in the tabs around the floor and then fold the floor
Main Walls inwards (see Fig 4).

Fold the parapets along the top of the main walls

downwards (see Fig 1).

Glue them flat against the unprinted face of the walls
and press with a ruler or other flat object until the glue
is dry (see Fig 2). Ensure that the parapets are straight
along the top edge of the wall. (It may be best to glue
them one at a time).
Fold in the small tab on the end of the longest wall.
Apply glue to the first tab on the roof and floor and fit
the side wall to it (see Fig 5). Fit the wall so that the
roof goes just below the parapet and the floor is flush
with the bottom edge of the wall.

Fold the tabs on the sides of the roof downwards.
Apply glue to the longest tab and fit it to the main
walls (see Fig 3). The roof should be fitted just below
the parapet.

Glue the other walls to the roof and floor in a similar
manner.
Apply glue to the three remaining tabs and fit the last
wall (see Fig 6). Ensure that the roof fits just below the
parapet and the floor is flush all round.

Walkways and jetways can be fitted to the pier gate

building to form a complete pier structure. Use the
printed markings on the walls as a guide when fitting to
other structures.
