Exercise 5 - Mass and Energy

03060124 - Leonardo Sebastián Rode García

1.- Superficial Tension

We poured water into a glass until it was filled to the brim, then, we started pouring droplets of water
over it. In doing so, we could see the superficial tension of the water preventing it from spilling.

2.-Huevo y densidad

In this experiment, we had a glass and an egg, and the objective was to make it so that the egg would
start floating on the water, so, we poured salt into the water. Its density increased and the egg floated
over the water.
3.- Pascal Press

We connected two syringes with water inside one of them, so that, when we applied pressure on one
of them, the flow of the water would be distributed equally on both of them.

4.- Archimedes Principle

For this we had to make a small ball out of clay and drench it in water. The point of this was to
observe how the volume of the water changed when another object with a relatively big density was
sunken in it.

5.- Pressure Can

The objective of this was to observe how a high temperature made a can implode thanks to the
pressure generated by the flame.

6.- Sound Frequency

We made a drum-like hollow object with a cup and a balloon, then, we used a portable speaker and a
laser pointer, pointing the laser from the inside of the cup, into the balloon, where it was eventually
seen shapeshifting in a wall.
