As part of training at the University Institute of Technology (IUT) of the André Salifou University of

Zinder (UAS), students are subject to a two (2) month internship to obtain a University Diploma of
Technology (DUT). During this period spent within the Departmental Directorate of Territorial
Planning and Community Development of the Urban Commune of Madarounfa, it was a question of
dealing with our theme relating to: "Development of Lake Madarounfa, issues and perspectives for
the urban development of the city of Madarounfa”. The general objective of this study is to analyze
the issues and prospects for urban development around the development of Lake Madarounfa. To
achieve this objective, it would be necessary to carry out documentary research, carry out visits to
the study area, develop questionnaires, and have interviews with resource people in order to collect
information. These were processed with a view to drafting our internship report. The means used to
carry out this work are as follows: Word, Excel, Google Earth Pro, Arc Gis, Sphinx, Computer, mobile
phone to name just a few. This work allowed us to know a little more about Lake Madarounfa, as
well as the significant potential it contains.
