Guy committed treason and therefore they cut his body into four pieces.

couldn’t explain why he was there.

They plotted to blow up Parliament and the King with gunpowder.

Francis Tresham wrote a warning letter to his cousin, Lord Monteagle.

People treated Catholic people badly because the Protestant king didn’t like what
they believed in.
Lord Monteagle passed the letter to the King’s guards.

Some friends realised they could kill innocent people. They started having second
thoughts and panicked.
Guy Fawkes and some friends thought about killing the King.

They called it the Gunpowder Plot.
