4. What is the trend of weight loss throughout the period of observation? Why do you
think this is the case?
I noticed that the weather condition, especially the quantity of sunlight exposed
to the soil and plant, has a propensity to cause weight loss throughout a 15-day
period of observation. When it rains on Days 4 and 6, the amount of water in the
soil does not reduce as much as it does on cloudy and sunny days. It is because fogs
moisten the environment and reach the plant. Whereas during sunny day, the
amount of moisture from the soil falls due to evaporation or the movement of
water from land to the atmosphere, and plant transpiration also known as
evapotranspiration. Therefore, as the soil's water content evaporates into the
atmosphere, the weight of the plant-soil decreases.

5. Compare the weight loss between the pots with and without plants. Are there
differences in the weight losses among the pots?
Based on the result gathered, the most exposed to water loss is the pot
without plants due to direct contact of soil surface to sunlight that causes
to rapid evaporation. In contrast, the container with plants allows the soil
to retain water and ensures that the plant has enough moisture, nutrients,
and energy to absorb even with considerable to high sun exposure.
Therefore, pots with plants lose less weight than pots without plants. This
is due to the soil's capacity to store water for plant use and allows them to
develop.
