• Orders will be shipped with courier ground service to ensure quick delivery. Larger orders are
palletized and shipped LTL direct service. We offer a variety of shipment options for export orders.
• Be sure to inspect your shipments upon receipt. Damaged shipments must be noted on freight bill
and claim filed with the carrier immediately. In the rare case of a shipping error, be sure to report it
to us within 48 hours of delivery so we may correct it quickly.

Evolution E2
Wickless Curing Envelope System
The all new patented Evolution E2 wickless envelope

system is engineered to provide you with an alternative
to cloth or rubber wicking. The internal crown area of the
Evolution envelope is equipped with venting channels that
act as the wick by accommodating airflow into and out
of the envelope. Primary vent channels reach nearly 12”
down the sidewall of the tire, eliminating the chance of air
blockage at the shoulder. Plus the optional Wizard air disc
directs airflow seamlessly to and from the valve base. An
added bonus is the transfer of the internal venting design
to the exposed shoulder cushion giving an “eclipse” new
look to the finished tire.

Why are “Fat Boy” valves better? Chrome “Fat Boy” - N1189
• One piece valve stem eliminates the sealing point between the
valve and adapter.
• Valve base is 2.5” (63 mm) in diameter, for added surface area to
help establish a superior seal with the envelope.
• Equipped with 8 air channels for a fast efficient air flow and to help
avoid vacuum blockage on the tread face.
• Valve stem has a thread limit on the bottom to help prevent over-

CARE & FEEDING
Tried & True Recommendations to Extend The Service Life Of Your
Bulldog & Top Cat Curing Envelopes
1.
SNUG FIT IS IMPORTANT — Rule of thumb: stretch, but never wrinkle or pleat. Make sure your
envelope is the right size for the tire you are retreading. Excess envelope is unnecessary and can
result in more clean-up work on final inspection. Too much skirt can lead to increased risk of
nicks or tears on the skirt edge. Reference our color coding chart (next two pages), or our online
“envelope fitment assistant” or contact us for the recommended envelope size.
2.
DO NOT TRAP ENVELOPE BETWEEN J-HOOK & TIRE BEAD — After the cure cycle when removing the
sealing rings be sure to fold the skirt edge up out of the way before resting the weight of the tire
back on the j-hook. Otherwise, pinching the envelope skirt between the j-hook and the tire bead
can cause damage to the envelope.
3.
HOT RUBBER CUTS MORE EASILY — Get in the habit of checking your j-hooks, sealing rings and
mechanical envelope spreaders for any rough edges or burrs that may damage a hot envelope. The
occasional preventative check can save costs on both envelopes and equipment.
4.
ROTATE ENVELOPES FOR SUFFICIENT “OFF THE TIRE” COOLING TIME — Cooling between cures will
accommodate the rubber “elastic memory” and extend envelope life. Ideally, three sets of
envelopes are required per chamber; one set in the chamber, one set built and ready to go, and
the last set are off the tires cooling.
5.
STORE ENVELOPES FLAT AFTER EACH CURE — Neat “pancake” stacks or saddling on a tee-cart will
allow the envelope to properly cool and retain its correct shape. Folding and wrinkling envelopes
in messy piles can lead to loss of proper shape when cooled and will make the enveloper’s job
more difficult.
6.
ENVELOPE LUBRICATION NOT REQUIRED — The interior surface of every Shamrock envelope is treated
with a proprietary cured-on lube undercoat designed to specifically work with our envelopes.
Occasional touch up lube maybe required late in service life. Be sure to use Bulldog envelope lube.
Other lube brands should not be used.

Bulldog rubber wick pads ensure a quick proper vacuum of your retread envelope
without the need for cloth wicking or poly. These heat resistant durable rubber wick
pads will last many times longer than cloth wicking. Available in the Bulldog XL or
Bulldog “E2” designs.
• The Bulldog XL is available in lengths up to 55” and is ideal for standard width through
wide base width tires or for the inside / outside envelope system.
• The Bulldog “E2” is 29” in length and equipped with specially designed venting channels,
ideal for standard width truck tires.
