The Employer’s Requirements mentions Platform Supervisor

• Clause 21.4.10 Waterproofing External and Internal
• Table 21.4 Floor Area Requirements
This requirement is defined in the ER as “a space for
supervisors of passenger movement at the platform”.

Why Platform supervisor room not required
1. Just for information, the GC had obtained data from the existing local LRT/MRT lines. Platform Supervisor
Space/Rooms are not provided but instead Platform Train Dispatcher’s Booths are installed as additional
operational requirement. These booths are provided only at the terminal (end) stations.

2. NOT provided in the current design of the RO stations.

3. There is no CP106 equipment to be installed in this room.

4. Platform supervision will be done through CCTV installation at platform area, observed through proper design
of CCTV system
D02. Toilet standardisation Recommendation:

Why RO to be followed for line wide consistency
1. Spider fixing is elegant , cost effective & line wide consistent. Spider fixing is much easier to install and requires
less labor than steel framing

2. As lift provides sense of direction, it is important to have line wide identity across MMSP. RO lift design is in line
with promotional video & PO could follow the same
