Game – Red Light and Green Light

Mechanics of the Game:


1. The player will turn back when the red light is on.
2. They will face front if the green light is on.
3. In times of green light, they will show picture that will match to the given picture on the TV
screen.
4. Unmatched pictures presented by the player/s will be eliminated.
Activity 5. The players who passed the five round of the game will be the winner/s.

1. What is Proper Waste Management?


Answer:

 includes several activities which help the community and environment become a clean,
safe, happy, healthy, and productive place to live in
 it includes the following: disposal waste, collection of waste, transport of waste, reuse
and recycling of waste, treatment of waste, and prevention and control of waste.
 can be done by applying the 3Rs – Reduce, Reuse and Recycle

2. Describe the 3Rs.


Abstraction Answer:
(10 minutes)
 Reduce - means lessening the amount of trash/garbage produced.
 Reuse - refers to using materials more than once
 Recycle - means creating a new material or product out of trash/garbage

3. What is the proper order of the following 3Rs? (Mathematics Integration)

4. Remember:
 Follow this order – Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle. Put emphasis on reducing first,
followed by reusing, then recycling.
 There are several ways to manage waste properly. Choose the best for your household,
school, and community. What is important is you are doing your share in helping your
community and the environment.

The class will be divided into four groups and performed their task. Three minutes to accomplish.

Group 1 – Create a poster to campaign the proper waste management and disposal.
Group 2 – Look at the picture below. What does the picture tell us? Share your insights if 3Rs will not
be practice by the people. (DRRE Integration)

Group 3 – Create a personal logo showing the 3Rs – Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle. (Arts Integration)

Group 4 – Complete the table by giving two examples in each column.
