ACTIVITY
You're familiar with the concept of cruise tourism since you've studied it previously. How would you
define a cruise experience based on what you've learn about it?
*The cruise tourism sector comprises all aspects of the tourism industry, including
lodging, transportation, hospitality, and attractions. Cruising has become the fastest
growing section of the tourism business worldwide, which is unsurprising given the
huge range of voyages available today.The term "cruise tourism" refers to vacations
that are based fully or partially on a cruise ship. It allows travelers to enjoy a multi-
centre vacation, in which they spend time at numerous locations during their
journey.Cruise ships range in size from small yachts to megaships, and they can go by
ocean, river, or fjord. Cruise tourism is popular in places like the Caribbean, the
Mediterranean, and the Arctic, among others.

Choose a cruise company and look for an itinerary that will take you to your dream destination. See

List down the advantages and disadvantages of cruise tourism
*The following are the advantages of cruise tourism;
•The majority of the work is done for you when you purchase a cruise. You can book
a cruise based on travel times, distance traveled, or destinations visited. In other
words, it is simple and convenient.
• A variety of travel locations. You could visit five or more different places in one
holiday, depending on the length of your voyage.
•Have a package deal. Throughout the year, cruise lines offer several package
packages.
•A diverse experiences. Every day you're at sea, the cruise line has planned both day
and night activities for you.

The following are the disadvantages of cruise tourism;


•A cruise will set you back significantly more than the cost of airfare and travel
arrangements.
•There are time constraints. At each port stop, you can usually depart the ship early in
the morning and must return by sunset.
•Sea sickness. Some other people can get sea sick when travelling in cruise ship.
