CAPSTONE UPDATE #1

1. What have you accomplished so far with your Capstone Project outside of class?
Nothing yet since I was sick. I plan to start the actual lawn mowing of my capstone by the time I feel better.
Hopefully by Monday October 15th I can begin my project, or whenever my body overcomes this sickness.

2. What do you plan to accomplish by the end of next week?

Hopefully, I can get over this sickness and start my actual capstone project. Once my body eradicates the
sickness, I will begin the process of reaching out to people on various social media platforms and ask
them to give me permission to mow their lawn and include them in my project, as well as hopefully
actually mowing people's lawns.

3. What are your needs (time, space, materials, personal contacts etc)?
Personal contacts: Facebook, group chats, people who need their lawns mowed.
Materials: Lawn mower, weed wacker, safety equipment (eye and ear protection), transportation of
equipment by vehicle as well as me, possibly green waste bags in case the homeowners do not have
any.
Time: if one lawn can take 20-30 minutes, I would need more than 10 hours to mow various lawns.
Space: People’s properties to do hands-on work, as well as in-class for putting together a PowerPoint.

4. Have you encountered any obstacles or challenges so far, and how have you overcome them?
I have gotten sick which has impacted my ability to start the process of mowing lawns, therefore not
allowing me to begin my capstone. My body must overcome the sickness it collected for me to do my
project.
