2. Analyse the operational amplifier circuits.
3. Discuss A.C currents and voltages in amplifier circuits.
4. Discuss the A.C. signal voltage and current gains of amplifier
circuits.

• The definition of dB unit. The -3dB frequencies. The Bode plot.
• The operational amplifier topics covering the basic building block circuits of
operational amplifiers including the inverting and non-inverting amplifiers.
• Current to voltage and voltage to current converters.
• Subtracting and summing circuits.
• Integrators and differentiators.
• Analysis and applications to comparators.
• Oscillators.
• Active filters.
• Analogue computers.
• The power amplifiers including the classification of A, B, AB, C and D.
• The A.C. load line. The push and pull concept.
• Cross-over distortion.
• Efficiency calculations and comparison.
• Introduction to digital electronics. Basic gates.
• Multi-vibrator circuits.

Course Assignment (20%)
• 1 Course Assignments
• The assigned task will be given at the beginning of the course
• Preparation of the assignment should be done in individually
• All the submission MUST be done in SPECTRUM
• Presentation of the assignment should be in video form
• Tutorials are given for practice – not graded
• However, participation during tutorials and class will be used for soft
skill assessment
