Installation of SEDEMAC Actuator L8.9- 250kVA

Objective:

Installation of SEDEMAC Acuator inplace of Wood ward Acuator keeping control panel,engine haress
same with adding Retrofit Harness.

Euipments/Items:

Instructions: Before SEDEMAC Acuator Assembly

1. Battery +ve & -ve terminal are removed from Battery.
2. Utility supply is in OFF condition in case of AMF application.

Procedure: Assembly
1. Ensure control panel EMG push button is in pressed/ locked position for local as well as remote
EMG.
2. Remove the battery terminal connection from battery: +ve & -ve battery cables.
3. Once battery connections are removed controller will be in OFF mode.
4. Remove Existence Actuator harness connections connected with Woodward Actuator & Remove
Actuator from Engine FIP.

5. Take SEDEMAC Actuator Mounting bracket as shown & mount actuator on top side.

6. Mount SEDEMAC Actuator on Bracket using Capscrew (4Qty.) as shown.

Note: Please ensure Actuator Part No. sticker in Top on mounting location as shown below.

7. Tighten Actuator 4 Qty. Mounting Capscrew using 10-11mm open spanner / 10mm Box socket.
Apply Torque 8 ± 1 N-m using torque tool & yellow mark after torqueing.

Apply both side Torque

8 ± 1 N-m using 10mm
socket.

8. Actuator comes from supplier with Linkage Length seating & assembly as shown

Note : Do not tight & distrub linkage Capscrew, Its CD Finalize with 128 ± 3mm from supplier end,
just please check & ensure using scale .

10. Fuel Injection Pump (FIP) Linkage setting:

a) FIP linkage along with Hardware (Capscrew, washer , Nut etc.)
b) FIP linkage Center distance (CD) approximate 128 ± 3mm mm & tighten the linkage nuts
(1nos. as shown in below) by using 10-11mm open spanner.

Nuts after adjusting of 128 ±

3mm distance.

11. SEDEMAC Actuator mounting assembly mount on Engine Cylinder block:

a) Please check & ensure removed Existence Wood ward Actuator.
b) Collect sub assembled SEDEMAC actuator with mounting bracket.

c) Take & Mount SEDEMAC Actuator sub-assembly on engine block on 2 mounting holes as
below

d) Tighten mounting Bracket Capscrew -2nos.using 16-17mm spanner & 16mm socket, Apply
Torque 52 ± 5 N-m., Yellow mark after torqueing.

12. FIP & SEDEMAC Actuator Linkage assembly:

a) C linkage assembly as shown with FIP Lever .

b) Connect Actuator linkage to FIP ‘C’ type lever (inside) using mounting Capscrew-1 Qty. as
shown.

c) Tighten FIP lever mounting Capscrew -1 Nos. using 10-11mm open spanner
d) Connect Actautor Retrofit Harness Connection to SEDEMAC Acuator by using Connector .

to SEDEMAC

e) Reconfirm once again the final assembly of an actuator as per instruction.

Note : A) Battery supply to ECU to be given directly through fuse.(ECU pin number 1(+) and 2)(-ve)

B) Stop signal to ecu pin number 10 to be routed through FSO relay.
