D. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Install the safety devices on the landing gears Ref. AMM TASK 32-00-00-481-001.

WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT THE AIRCRAFT IS STABLE AND DOES NOT MOVE
DURING THE JACKING OPERATIONS.
IF THERE IS UNWANTED MOVEMENT OF THE AIRCRAFT, THE LANDI
NG-GEAR JACKING DOME CAN COME OFF THE JACK HEAD AND INJU
RY AND/OR DAMAGE CAN OCCUR.
(2) Do one of the steps that follow:

If you want to remove the MLG wheel from one of the two MLGs (LH or RH),
(a) lift the applicable MLG axle Ref. AMM TASK 07-12-00-582-002.
- Make sure that you do not lift the two MLG axles at the same time.
- Make sure that you do not remove more than one MLG wheel at the s
ame time.

If you want to remove the MLG wheel(s) from the two MLGs (LH and RH), lif
(b) t the aircraft on jacks Ref. AMM TASK 07-11-00-581-001.
(3) Put the PARK BRK control switch to the ON position.

On panel 400VU, make sure that the brake pressure indication on the Yellow
(a) brake-pressure triple indicator is correct.

If necessary, pressurize the brake accumulator with the Yellow hydraulic sys
tem Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-863-002 or Ref. AMM TASK 29-24-00-863-00
(b) 1.

NOTE: It is not necessary to do this step, if you have removed the MLG

(4) Decrease the tire pressure as follows:

NOTE: If you must remove the wheel for access or inspections, it is not necessar
y to deflate the tire if:
- The tire is in the correct condition.
- The tire pressure is in the normal operating range Ref. AMM TASK
32-41-00-210-003.
If you do not find these two conditions, it is necessary to decrease t
he tire pressure.

(a) Remove the cap (51) from the inflation valve (50).

Attach the ADAPTER - TIRE INFLATION/DEFLATION to the inflation valve (5

(b) 0).

Decrease the tire pressure until the pressure gage of the ADAPTER - TIRE I
NFLATION/DEFLATION shows between 1.79 bar (26 psi) and 2.20 bar (32 p
(c) si).

(d) Remove the ADAPTER - TIRE INFLATION/DEFLATION.

(e) Put the cap (51) on the inflation valve (50) and tighten it.

Apply a thin layer of Synthetic Oil base Grease-General Purpose Clay Thickened -
(Material Ref. 03GBB1) or Synthetic Oil base Grease-Landing Gear Wheel Bearing
(5) Lithium Thickened - (Material Ref. 03GCB1) on the axle protector.
(6) Put a TROLLEY - WHEEL CHANGE, A/C below the wheel.
(7) Remove the wheel assembly (1).
(8) Record the reason for removal of the wheel assembly (1).

- NOT USED.
- NOT FULLY ENGAGED ON THE AXLE.
(1) Remove and discard the cotter pins (5) and nuts (4).
(2) Remove the washers (6) and the bolts (8).
(3) Remove the axle nut (7) with the ADAPTOR-MLG (H47682).
(4) Install the PROTECTOR (F46754-1000).
Apply a thin layer of Synthetic Oil base Grease-General Purpose Clay Thickened -
(Material Ref. 03GBB1) or Synthetic Oil base Grease-Landing Gear Wheel Bearing
(5) Lithium Thickened - (Material Ref. 03GCB1) on the axle protector.
(6) Put a TROLLEY - WHEEL CHANGE, A/C below the wheel assembly (1).
(7) Remove the wheel assembly (1).
(8) Record the reason for removal of the wheel.

(a) Prepare a tag and attach it to the wheel and tire assembly.

(b) Write on the tag the reason for removal of the tire.
