QUICK GUIDE ONBOARD FOR

CREATING A FULL REPORTING CYCLE
1. Create the voyage (it can be the current voyage)
Voyage & Reports tab --> New --> New Voyage
Enter the required information in the "Voyage Template"
See paragraph 11.1 of Vessel Client Manual or Vessel Client Training Video “2.1 Creating a Voyage” for
data entry details.

2. Create the current fuel amount in the vessel by entering "virtual bunkering". This "virtual
bunkering" is going to include the RoB amounts of Day1 of the reporting. “Virtual bunkering” applies
only the 1st time the user reports in Liberty and is required in order to have fuel in the tank. Later
Bunker Delivery info is added as it occurs.
Operations tab --> New --> New Bunkers Stems
Enter the required information in the "Bunkers Stem Template"
See paragraph 12.1.1 of Vessel Client Manual or Vessel Client Training Video “3.1 Creating a Bunker
Received Note” for data entry details.
NOTE: same steps should be followed for the Lubricants. User should add a “virtual lubricant stem”
(applies only for the first time Liberty is used) in order to include the RoB lubricant amounts of Day1 of
the reporting. Later Lubricant Delivery info is added as it occurs. See paragraph 12.1.2 of Vessel Client
Manual or Vessel Client Training Video “4.1 Creating a Lubricant Received Note” for data entry details.
Then Lubricants are added as they occur.

3. Start recording “daily reports”

Voyage & Reports tab --> New --> New Daily Report
Select the Departure report option in order to record the Start of Sea Passage
Enter the required information in the selected reporting template
See paragraph 13.1.1 of Vessel Client Manual or Vessel Client Training Videos 9.1 – 9.7 for data entry
details.

4. Continue and complete the recording of “daily reports”

Voyage & Reports tab --> New --> New Daily Report
Select the report type you want to enter (Noon/Arrival/Port)
Enter the required information in the selected reporting template

5. Start recording the “Port Logs”. Port Logs should be recorded between every Arrival and the
Departure report of the next Voyage in order to comply later with the EU MRV Regulation and provide
data to the Operations Department
Operations tab --> New --> New Port Log
Enter the required information in the "Port Log Template"
See paragraph 12.2.1 of Vessel Client Manual or Vessel Client Training Video “5.1 Creating a Port
Operation (Mandatory for MRV Report)” for data entry details.

NOTE: “Port Log” recording is mandatory in order to comply with the EU MRV regulations

“Port Log” is different from the “Port Report”.

• A “Port Log” can be inserted the moment or after the event has been concluded (warnings
appear in the system if no Port Log is recorded when creating the next Departure Report). Every
movement between End of Sea Passage and the next Start of Sea Passage is considered a separate
“Port Log”, thus a new entry must be created in Liberty. For more details refer to the
“Implementation of Port Log in Liberty Suite” and “Liberty Port Log Validation Rules” documents.
• A “Port Report” is a daily report for the days at port (each day at port is a new report) and
contains basic information, Consumption details and Machinery Running Hours.
