The Data Science for Management Master,
offers students a comprehensive training,
from a problem-solving perspective,
in statistical and computational methods
for management.
CAREER PROSPECTS
Graduates of this Master program are ideally
suited to fill jobs as Data Analyst, Data
Analytics Manager, Big Data Manager across
a variety of industries, ranging from ICT
to consulting, from banking and finance
to insurance.
MASTER Data Science for Management
The broad goal is to empower students
to become a Data Analyst or Business
Analytics Manager, two rapidly expanding
and highly rewarding jobs which take
advantage of the ongoing digital revolution.
PARTICIPANTS PROFILE
The Master is addressed to graduates
with a Bachelor, or Master of Science,
degree in any of the following fields:
Computer Science, Economics, Engineering,
Management/Business, Mathematics,
Statistics, Physical Sciences.
Students who expect to graduate
by the last session of A.Y. 2022/2023
(March/April, 2024), can also apply.
LEARNING OUTCOMES
Students will acquire solid computational and
statistical skills to tackle real business
problems, using a variety of programming
languages such as R and Python, as well as
integrated data analysis systems such as SAS.
Specifically:
sound statistical and data mining expertise
data analysis and machine learning
capabilities in a business oriented perspective
proficiency in computer science (data
management and programming)
Students are also offered the opportunity
to acquire the «Machine Learning with
SAS Viya» certification.
They will exploit the ongoing digital
revolution delivering data-driven
and analytically-informed solutions
to various corporate functions.
PROGRAMME STRUCTURE
AND COURSES
Active attendance is mandatory
(a minimum of 80% attendanceis required).
Classes run from Monday to Friday, 9.30 a.m. -
1.00 p.m and 2.00 - 5.30 p.m.
They comprise a blend of lectures,
practicals and individual work under
the supervision of a tutor.
To obtain the Master diploma, students
are required to: successfully pass
an exam at the end of each course;
effectively participate in the project
works; serve an internship or defend
a Master thesis.
Access to individual courses may be
arranged for external candidates,
who will be granted a certificate
of attendance.
