Critically analyse one option from a list of six artworks (music, film, and poetry) from the list
below. Your essay must draw on at least two theorists. The substance of your essay must be
different to the first essay you submitted.*

• 'Inside Outside Stephanie' - poem by Stephanie Burt
• Two poems from [-] Placeholder - poems by Rob Halpern
• ‘Sea Change’ – poem by Jorie Graham
• ‘As A Child’ and ‘Thought Experiment’– two poems by Vidyan Ravinthiran

*If you focused on e.g. biopolitics in the first essay, you cannot focus on biopolitics in the
second. Similarly, if your theorist was Michael Foucault, you cannot focus on Foucault for
the second assignment. You can mention and refer to concepts/theorists you covered in the
previous essay, but they cannot be the substance of the second assignment.
