PROJECT PROPOSAL

I. IDENTIFYING INFORMATION
A. GENERAL TITLE: S.I.B.A.K: Sustainability for Innovating Biodiversity
Activity
B. ACTIVITY TITLE: Basura Attack: Hands on and Make a Stand for
Cleaner, Greener Land
C. DURATION: October 9, 2023 (6:00 AM-12:00 PM)
D. PARTICIPANTS: 25 Youths from Prk. Maranon Barangay Zone III
E. BUDGETARY REQUIREMENTS: Php 6,025.00

II. RATIONALE

The "Basura Attack: Hands on and Make a Stand for a Cleaner, Greener Land" is a clean-up drive
activity, and it is not just another campaign to clean up our surroundings. It is a call to action, an invitation
to take responsibility for the environment we live in. The title itself is rational and compelling, as it
emphasizes the urgent need to address the problem of waste management.

The activity aims to encourage people to join hands and work together towards creating cleaner
surroundings. It highlights the importance of individual actions in achieving a collective goal. By
participating in this drive, we can make a significant impact on our environment and contribute towards
building a sustainable future.

Moreover, this activity also promotes awareness about waste segregation and recycling practices.
It educates people about the harmful effects of improper waste disposal on our health and environment. By
implementing these practices in our daily lives, we can reduce the amount of waste generated and
minimize its impact on nature.

In conclusion, joining hands for "Basura Attack: Hands on and Make a Stand for a Cleaner,
Greener Land" is not just an act of social responsibility but also an investment in our future. Let us all come
together to create cleaner surroundings and build a better world for ourselves and generations to come.

The implementation of this activity will be on October 09, 2023, at 6:00 AM-12:00 PM. Together
with the Purok President, youths, and social work student. The route will start at Purok Plaza and end at
Barangay Zone III Gym. The materials will be provided by the Purok Maranon, as social work student utilize
available resources from the said community and to signify the sense of cooperation and collaboration
between social work student and youth members.
III. OBJECTIVES

Clean up drive activities are essential for maintaining a clean and healthy environment. However,
to make these activities more effective, it is important to set clear objectives. Here are three objectives that
should be considered when planning a clean-up drive:
1. To raise awareness about the importance of keeping our surroundings clean and free from litter.
2. To encourage community participation in cleaning up public spaces such as purok plaza,
roadways, and water canals.
3. To collect and dispose of waste in an environmentally friendly manner.

V. BUDGETARY/FUNDING REQUIREMENTS

The program will be conducting at Block 2 Purok Maranon Barangay Zone III, Koronadal City
South Cotabato with a total of 25 youth participants. Also, one resource person from City Environment and
Natural Resources Office to give awareness to the youth the importance of proper waste disposal. Below
are the details of break of expenses.

VI. RECOMMENDATION

To achieve a collective goal of a cleaner environment and more sustainable outcomes in waste
management, youth and the constituents of the said purok should cooperate and practice the
implementation of proper waste disposal. To achieve this, the support and provision of City Environment
and Natural Resources Office and the chairman of purok as well as the youth, this an indicator of the best
form to raise awareness regarding the negative effects of improper waste management in the life of every
individuals and families. This will give them an idea regarding the important roles of the youth that they
need to perform and responsibilities that they must fulfill. Also, it will provide a platform in regards to the
effective leadership and responsible citizen. Therefore, the undersigned student highly recommends to put
separate waste bins for different categories of solid waste in order to promote waste separation. In this
way, the authorities could minimize the improper primary waste disposal practices affecting the natural
environment.
