My life with English

My name is Im Seong Jun. In this writing, I will introduce myself with one topic: English. I became

interested in English when I was 11 years old. At the recommendation of my mother, I attended a

meeting run by a professor in the English Department. In this meeting, people improved their English

skills by reading books written in English. The type of book is various from easy fairy tale book to

classic novels. Unlike other English teachers, my professor taught me how to read English texts itself

rather than analyze it. Thanks to her, I think I have become more accustomed to reading English texts.

After I entered high school, I stopped attending meetings. Instead, I started studying things related to

English from English translation to English literature. Especially, I was interested in English

literature, I was particularly interested in English literature, so I joined an English literature club and

gained knowledge by analyzing famous English writers and their works. At that time, I was fascinated

by George Orwell (Famous English writer in England. <1984>, <Animal Farm> are famous among

his works) because of his text that satirizes an era and the mood changes with each writing. In my

high school days, I was able to learn more about English-related studies. now, my major is English

language and literature because of these experiences.
