Class policies and • Students can contact facilitator via email in case of any query regarding the class or study
guidelines material from asynchronous class.
• Prior appointments must be taken if the student needs to talk to the facilitator via call.
• The teacher will brief the students about the assignment (objectives of the assignment, style of
writing, word limit, nature of submission, evaluation rubrics, and deadlines) and the same shall be
uploaded on their LMS accounts and other learning portals (Google Classroom). The deadlines
will be mutually agreed upon.
• The teacher will inform in advance, when she is unable to take a class.
• The teacher will complete the required number of course hours in a semester.
• Students are expected to attend all classes and comply with the university’s attendance policy.
• Attendance will be taken in the first five minutes of the class. Attendance will be marked on the
basis of roll call and WebEx report. Students joining a class late or not paying attention will not
be granted attendance.
• Students are expected to abide by e-etiquettes during online classes like keeping themselves on
mute, un-muting only when required, keeping video off, raise your hand if you have a question
and post questions in the chat box.
• Students are expected to go through the course plan and syllabus and come prepared for the class.
• Students are not permitted to use electronic devices like mobile phone, laptop, ipad etc without
the permission of the teacher.
• Food and beverages are not allowed in the classroom. Though keeping water and drinking it at
regular intervals is advisable.
• Talking amongst other students and other disruptive behaviour are not allowed when the class is
in progress.
• Students are expected to take active part in the classroom discussion and activities.
Take every effort to utilize the resources provided by the university, including but not limited to the
library and internet resources.
This course introduces the field of aviation psychology, by providing an overview of human factors in
Course Description aviation safety. Students will be exposed to a range of specialized topics like CRM, aviation medicine,
cognitive ergonomics, and will be exposed to a broad array of psychological issues faced in the aviation
context, which helps to improve safety in the industry.
