Hundreds had gathered Saturday afternoon outside of the Brooklyn Museum on Eastern Parkway in
Prospect Heights for a pro-Palestine “Flood Brooklyn for Gaza” protest.
About 1,000 people converged on Eastern Parkway to join the demonstration, which is set to proceed
on a route toward Atlantic Barclays Center and then the Brooklyn Bridge, according to a flier shared on
social media Friday by Within Our Lifetime, one of the event’s organizers said.

The NYPD is expected to have a robust presence at the protest, a source tells the Post, and 1,500

"The more they try and silence us, repress us, push us off the streets, the larger our numbers will be,
the louder we will be," the organizers warned. "For Gaza, for every inch of Palestine. With everything
we have, from wherever we are."
Attendees were spotted holding a slew of anti-Israel signs, including some with the antisemitic phrase
“from the river to the sea, Palestine will be free,” which is call by Hamas terrorists and their anti-Israel
backers for the eradication of the Jewish state.

Others held signs reading “F--k Israel, justice 4 Palestine” and chanted “no peace on stolen land.”

The demonstration is stationed blocks away from a major Chabad festival Pegisha.
Rabbi Motti Seligson, 41,noted the ironic timing that the pro-Palestinian march was coming on the

"It’snot an accident we’re having this confluence," Seligson told The Post Friday. "You’re seeing the

Israel says troops still in the field in Gaza, Hamas vows 'full force'
By Reuters

Hamas confront Israeli attacks with "full force" after Israel's military widened its air and
pledged to
ground attacks on the Palestinian enclave, suggesting on Saturday that a long promised ground
offensive had begun.

Israel said on Saturday morning its troops, sent in on Friday night, were still in the field, without
elaborating. The country had earlier made only brief sorties into Gaza during three weeks of
bombardment to root out Hamas militants, who it said had killed 1,400 Israelis, mostly civilians, on Oct.
7.

"The forces are still in the field and continuing the war," Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari told a news
briefing on Saturday morning.

Gaza was under an almost complete blackout, with internet and phone services cut for more than 12
hours by Saturday morning. Telecoms firms and the Palestinian Red Crescent Society said was it the
result of Israeli bombardments.
Hagari said Israel would allow trucks carrying food, water and medicine to enter Gaza on Saturday,
indicating that bombing might pause, at least in the area of its border with Egypt where small amounts
of aid have been arriving.

Aid agencies have said a humanitarian catastrophe is unfolding in Gaza, whose 2.3 million people are
under a total Israeli blockade. Health authorities in Hamas-run Gaza said on Friday that 7,326
Palestinians had been killed since Israel's bombardment began.

The head of the World Health Organisation (WHO), Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, said the blackout
was "making it impossible" for ambulances to reach the injured in Gaza.
"Evacuation of patients is not possible under such circumstances, nor to find safe shelter," he said in a
post on X, formerly known as Twitter. He said also the WHO was not able to contact its staff and health
facilities.

FAMILIES OF HOSTAGES
Relatives of people captured in Israel during the Oct. 7 assault Hamas demanded an urgent meeting
with the Israeli government after what they called "the most terrible of all nights ".

"None of the war cabinet bothered to meet with the families of the hostages to explain one thing -

whether the ground operation endangers the well-being of the 229 hostages in Gaza," the Hostages
and Missing Persons Families Forum headquarters said.
The government has said it is doing everything it can to rescue the hostages.
The Palestinian militant group that rules Gaza said its fighters were clashing with Israeli troops in areas
near the border with Israel.

Hagari had said on Friday evening its ground forces were widening their operations along with
extensive air strikes on tunnels dug by Hamas and other infrastructure.
"In addition to the attacks carried out in the last few days, ground forces are expanding their operations
tonight," he said.

"Overnight, IDF fighter jets struck 150 underground targets in the northern Gaza Strip, including terror
tunnels, underground combat spaces and additional underground infrastructure. Furthermore, several
Hamas terrorists were killed," the military said.

The armed wing of Hamas, the al-Qassam brigades, said early on Saturday its fighters were clashing
with Israeli troops in Gaza's northeastern town of Beit Hanoun and in the central area of Al-Bureij.

"Al-Qassam Brigades and all Palestinian resistance forces are fully prepared to confront the
aggression with full force and thwart the incursions," it said.

The United States and other Western countries have offered strong support to Israel but had urged it to
hold off on a ground offensive for fear that high casualties among Palestinians would fuel wider conflict.

Hamas backed by Iran, which also supports militias in Lebanon, Syria, Iraq and Yemen. The Israeli
is

military said had stopped a missile fired from Lebanon at one of its drones and was striking the
it

launch site, the latest in what have been the most serious clashes on the border since 2006.
Israel's neighbour Egypt said drones fell on the country on Friday and warned against any expansion
of the conflict.

Israel has been attempting to disable Hamas’s vast network of tunnels in the Gaza Strip since the
outbreak of the war on Oct. 7.

The Israeli military claimed Hamas is hiding key entries and exits for its 300-mile tunnel
network beneath Gaza’s main medical center, al-Shifa Hospital.
“Hamas has turned hospitals into command and control centers and hideouts for Hamas terrorists and
commanders,” Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari, Israel’s chief military spokesman, said at a news

Doctors Without Borders 'concerned' after losing contact with some Palestinian
personnel in Gaza
By Katherine Donlevy

Doctors Without Borders said lost contact it with its "Palestinian colleagues on the ground" Friday after
withstanding unrelenting gunfire.
"We are deeply concerned about the situation in Gaza. We have lost contact with some of our
Palestinian colleagues on the ground," the nonprofit, also known as Médecins Sans Frontières, said on
X.

"We are particularly worried for the patients, medical staff and thousands of families taking shelter at Al
Shifa hospital and other health facilities."

Hospital personnel had been targeted while on the job just hours earlier, the group said.

An ambulance was shot while attempting to reach severely wounded Palestinians who were injured by
Israeli forces in their Jenin refugee camp.

Paramedics were forced to evacuate the ambulance and take cover for 20 minutes, delaying care to
the victims.

Doctors Without Borders did not identify whether Hamas or Israeli fired the shots, but said IDF units
had bombarded the camp just moments earlier.
"Civilians and healthcare facilities should always be protected. Medical personnel, vehicles and
facilities should not be a target," Doctors Without Borders said.
There have been 96 documented attacks on healthcare since the start of the conflict, 77 of which were
on ambulances, according to the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs.

Pro-Palestinian protesters shut down Grand Central Terminal during evening rush
By Patrick Reilly

Hundreds of Pro-Palestinian protesters forced the temporary closure of Grand Central Terminal Friday
night as they staged a massive sit-in inside the station’s concourse.
Train service was halted at about 7:30 p.m. and the MTA directed Metro-North customers to take the
subway to the Harlem-125th Street station in order to catch a train heading north.

The demonstrators wearing black shirts that said “Jews say cease fire now” took over the station’s vast
concourse and some of the protesters climbed atop the ticket counter with large banners that read
“Palestinians should be FREE” and “Never again for anyone.”

Others dropped banners from the top of the terminal's staircases and chanted "Mourn for the dead and fight like hell
for the living."

Palestinians have been killed.

Access to the station was initially restricted before the MTA announced it’s closure due to the protests.

Forest Hills.

Jacob Birn, 24, had tailed and filmed the man for two blocks while repeatedly demanding to know why
he was ripping down the fliers and begging him to leave the remaining ones alone.

Israel 'taking the war to Hamas,' confirms troops conducting 'sweep and clear'
operations over last 'several days': report
By David Spector

Israeliground troops are "taking the war to Hamas, and have been conducting "sweep and clear"
operations in the Gaza strip Israel Defense Forces spokesman Peter Lerner said in an interview with
ABC.
Lerner said troops were attempting to create "optimal" ground conditions in the strip for the last
"several days," but would not confirm if troops were engaged in Gaza currently due to "operational
concerns."
Israel has previously announced an expansion of their ground operations in Gaza.
Lerner says Israel's mission is to "dismantle" Hamas' capabilities and "destroy their government," so
that the terrorist group could " never use the Gaza Strip as a staging ground against our people again."
"We are seeking out anti-tank capabilities, we are destroying observation posts and we are engaging
the terrorists where we find them," Lerner said.
