LESSON PLAN IN MATHEMATICS GRADE 11

Trigonometry

CONTENT STANDARD: The learner demonstrates understanding of the key concepts of

Circular functions, trigonometric identities, inverse trigonometric functions, and the polar
coordinate system.

PERFORMANCE STANDARD: The learner is able to apply appropriate trigonometric identities in

solving situational problems.

LEARNING COMPETENCY: The learner derives the double and half - angle formulas.

CODE: STEM_PC11T-11f-1

I. O BJECTIVE:
At the end of the lesson, 75% of the students will be able to derive the double-angle
and half-angle formulas and be able to evaluate trigonometric identities using double and
half- angle formulas.

II. SUBJECT MATTER:

III. PROCEDURES:
1. Preliminary Activities
a. Prayer
b. Checking of Attendance
c. Review/Motivation

2. Developing Activities

`Activity
Group the students into three (3) groups and give each group their assigned activity. Let
each group expand the following using the sum formula of sine, cosine and tangent.

Group 1 Group 2 Group 3

Sin (A + A) Cos (A + A) Tan ( A + A)

Analysis
1. How do you find the activity?
2. How did you come up with your answer(s)?
3. What steps did you undertake?
4. What is significant about it?
