4.0 PROCEDURE

Different types of equipments / assesories used for cleaning purposes are Vacuum cleaner
. Motor driven brush . Vacuum cleaner ( dry + wet type ), rubber mops , dusters , ‘J’
brush , ‘O’ brush , carpet brushes , cotton mops.

All the cleaning assesories required for a particular department are keep in that department
only and not use elsewhere.

The equipments like vacuum cleaner, motor driven brush are keep in the housekeeping
store room.

Cleaning of the above mentioned equipments . assesories is important and is do as follows


:

1. Wasj Rubber mops , ‘J’ brush , ‘O’ brush , carpet brush , cotton mops and dusters
with soap water , rinse with the WHITENOL (Disinfectant ) solution , finally wash
thoroughly with demineralised water and then allowed to dry.

2. Vacuum cleaner (dry + wet type )- The container lid is opened, the container ,and
hose pipe is washed with soap water thoroughly and then finally washed with tap
water.

3. Motor driven brush – The tank containing soap solution is drained and the tank and
the three brushes are thoroughly wash with soap water, tap water and finally rinse
with dmineralised water.

4. Dry vacuum cleaner – The dust collecting bag is shaken thoroughly and dust is
removed completely before next use.
