The proposal CEAPI is an initiative by ACOFI( Asociación  Energy.

of Faculties of Engineering) and SPEED(Student Platform for
Engineering Education Development), students from different
faculties of engineering postulate a project with the name
SUBJECT OF ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION FOR
ENGINEERS; this project is postulated academic initiative called ¿
REVERSIBLE POLLUTION? To students from past semesters of
these programs, to set their acquired knowledge and pose solutions
to problems in their community where they generate a sustainable
idea and / or environmental awareness assuming that pollution will
not only from the point of view of environmental but also cultural
issues, with the importance of resources for society forgets.
INTRODUCTION
The primary idea of CEAPI intends to partner with existing
projects in the University Union between the Santo Tomás
University and Industrial de Santander University, in
partnership participates with Colombia`s National Ministry of
Environment so it intends to raise a subject as a preliminary
choice of environmental awareness in engineering and later
disclose to other faculties.

These five themes are not limit proposals for such a lecture,
but are a guide to the scope that engineering students may
have. The mode that was taken in this lecture is to examine
certain issues in the community of students to also have
greater access to information and new ideas.
THE CEAPI
• What is the methodology?
The subject: reversible pollution? It is aimed at students of all
branches of engineering. It will be in two sessions per
week, in the first session the students present their
proposal in front of their peers in the classroom and in the
second session they make a debate on the proposal made
by the exhibitor group. What is sought is to encourage
participants to research and debate to generate solutions to
environmental problems, reminding them that it doesn’t
matter what of the branch of engineering be, we can give
a solution.

•how is the evaluation methodology?

For the evaluation methodology, we take the parameters
described in italics on the Chronogram; such activities will
receive a score to generate the final grade for this work and
whether or not the student passed this subject. With each

CONCLUSION
We are making this project nationally but this is not an
impediment to take this methodology and use it in other
countries, we have many problems with our environment but
we are not the only country with this. Here in Colombia we
have 2 universities working on this subject because we know
the importance that have the environment education. We are
working to have more universities in this subject because we
need more ideas of students for change in the focus about the
engineer for the community. The biggest purpose is make this
around the world, is encourage a lot of Engineer students to
make the differences and think in what we can do to change
all.
The chronogram can change for other country in the
description, using problems of their community, one example
would be air pollution in Beijing other could be the problem
with the nuclear energy. There are a lot of topics that we as
students can discuss and give some solutions without
departing from reality.
