This is Group Assignment

Attached please find the List of Product assigned to each Group. Assume that you are manufacturer.

The Report, Word File / Hand written and Presentation (PPT) shall be prepared based on the information
collected from the secondary data sources and students own understanding. You have to make and state the
assumptions clearly. For completing the assignment, you have to refer Operations Management, B. Mahadevan,
3rd Edition. You can browse through the YouTube videos to see how the manufacturing takes place for the
assigned product. The presentation must consist below mentioned contents -

Report and Presentation Content –

1. Estimate the market size for the product assigned.

2. Decide the capacity of the plant.
3. State Operations Strategy and Manufacturing Process you will adopt.
4. Considering the operations strategy:
a. Draw the material flow diagram during manufacturing for the assigned product.
b. Indicate the quality check points you will introduce.
c. State which Lean practices you will adopt.
d. State which components of the product you will buy from outside & which are to be produced in
house.
e. Draw the schematic model of Supply Chain for the assigned product.
f. Observations, findings, insights, suggestions, conclusion.

The evaluation will be carried out on following parameters –

1. Understanding of the subject – 10 Marks

2. Working on facts and figures – 10 Marks
3. Presentation skills – 10 Marks
Marks will be converted into 15.
