ACTIVITY 4

1. Classified and display ads and its effectiveness.


These are classified ads. These effectively attract job hunters due to their
description. Job hunters usually have their own skills, for example: computer-based
skills, technical abilities, etc. It will also attract some job hunters because of its high
salary rate. It will make the company’s need for employees to fill the designated position
easier than waiting for a job hunter that does not match for it.

2. 5-year forecast of occupational market conditions for industrial engineers.


According to projections, the professional field of industrial engineering is
anticipated to have a 5% increase in employment from 2023 to 2028, surpassing the
average growth rate observed across all professions. On average, there is a predicted
annual average of around 11,200 job vacancies available for industrial engineers during
a period of five years. A significant portion of these job vacancies are anticipated to arise
due to the need of filling positions left vacant by employees who transition to other
professions or withdraw from the labor market, like retirement.

3. Local office of an employment agency.


CDK International Manpower Services Corporation is a corporation that is
excellent in serving the Filipino workforce with secured overseas and local employment
opportunities. The following are the jobs available through this agency:
● Supervisor
● Merchandiser
● Salesman
● Visual Merchandiser
● Butcher
● FishMonger
● Bakery Staff (Pastry Chef, Pizza Maker, Baker, Bakery Salesman,&
Helper)
● Housekeeping
● Attendant
● Bartender
Predominantly, the agency offers the position of Merchandiser.

professional, technical, and managerial applicants in the Philippines due to their
authorization from the Department of Labor and Employment and the Securities and
Exchange Commission (SEC). Their objectives also state that they are exceptional at
providing their extensive global clientele with qualified, efficient, and hard-working labor
that matches our client's requirements. In addition, even multinational corporations seek
partnerships with them to recruit employees. In addition, they offer a variety of positions.
In fact, they organize weekly flights for employees to work abroad with the companies.
And the fact that they have been in business for 32 years indicates that their company is
respectable and that their recruiting standards are extensive and of high quality.
4. Family-friendly employment ads.

A full or part-time job that you can only work every weekend. High hourly rate for
most people even if you’re aged, women, minors and single parents who have skills to
explore and excel machines or technologies. It balanced the work-family relationship
because it gives plenty of time for employees’ to be with their own family.
5. Interview with a manager between the ages of 25 and 35 at a local business who
manages employees aged 40 or older and his most challenging experiences
managing older employees.

Cedrick Louie Santos claimed that he was in charge of roughly 15 employees


and that it was difficult to manage some of them because they were over 40. One of the
most difficult experiences he had was teaching tenured staff members how to use digital
platforms because they need to adjust to technological advancements and use those
platforms as part of their workflow, specifically when submitting requirements and
announcements. Therefore, Mr. Santos finds it difficult to encourage the more senior
staff members to adjust to these changes without disrespecting them. Another instance
was when senior management embraced his ideas, but older staff members disapproved
because they believed Mr. Santos was still too young to contribute to the company..
Since they were too old to adjust to changes, they started to believe that the higher ups
were favoring the younger personnel. With this, it started to bother some of the other
workers that the management favored Mr. Santos and other members of the younger
generation.
