Not able to view the GPON EMS GUI in the web browser.................................................................1

Login to EMS server should be done as root user.

1) NOT ABLE TO VIEW THE GPON EMS GUI IN THE WEB BROWSER

GPON EMS uses tomcat server for running GUI.


Check whether tomcat server is running.
If tomcat server is not running, start it as mentioned in the User Manual.

If still the the GUI is not visible, ensure that the browser is installed with the
latest Adobe flash player.
Ensure the iptables or the firewall is not blocking the application.
To stop iptables use command

2) NOT ABLE TO LOGIN TO EMS GUI

Check whether MySQL server is running in the EMS server.


If not, start the MySQL server as mentioned in the user manual.

3) NO USER REQUEST IS GETTING EXECUTED TOWARDS THE OLTS

Check whether the OLT session status is RUNNING .


If not, make the OLT session status as RUNNING by starting the OLT.

If still the problem exists, ensure the EMS backend binary is running in the EMS Server by the
following command.
shell> ps -ef | grep IntegratedGPON.jar
If not, start the backend binary as mentioned in the user manual.

4) OLT'S SESSION STATUS IS UNREACHABLE

Check the reachability of the OLTs from the terminal using PING command.

If not pinging, ensure that the OLT is up.
If the OLT is up and not pinging, contact the Network Administrator.
