The table provides information about the enrolment statistics of students at

Manchester University in three specific years 1937,1967 and 2017.


From the table it is apparent that the number of new admissions and the percentage
of overseas student inclined, the proportion of male and female students changed
slightly, while the percentage of local students decreased significantly during the
given period.
The number of students enrolled experienced a considerately increase of about
6000 between 1937 and 2017. Similarly, there was a strong growth of just over
25% in the percentage of international student in the surveyed period. Whereas the
proportion of local students declined sharply and by 2017 it was only about a
percent.
In 1937, the enrollent rate for males was about 10% higher than that of females
and, thirty years later, the difference rose to nearly 30%. During the next fifty
years, there was an upward trend in the rate of female students, while the rate of
male students fell.
