Stage 1: Desired Results


Lesson Students will be introduced to the Fitness Centre. The teacher will introduce the skills,
Overview: strategies, and variety of ways students can be fit in the fitness centre, which consists of
focusing on improving specific skills, such as endurance, stamina, strength, flexibility, power,
speed, coordination, and agility. Students at the end of the class will learn the uniqueness of
being fit and will have a better grasp of the skills, which will aid them to better their
understanding of ways that they can be fit. The focus will be on Upper Body for Day 1

Prior to Safety:
Lesson: ● Fitness Station
● Wear appropriate exercise attire at
all times
● Please do not disrupt or interfere in
another member’s workout.
● Please wipe down all equipment
after use.
● Eating or drinking inside the
Fitness Centre or Studio is not
permitted. Except water bottles in
capped bottles.
● Weight plates are NOT to be
leaned against equipment stands,
walls or machines. Please replace
weights after use.
● Dumbbells and weight plates
cannot be dropped on the floor.
● Return Equipment after use

Stage 4: Reflection
I focused a lot more on demonstration of the exercises with students. I also wrote down the exercises that I
wanted them to do. They responded well, because they had something to follow and the students that don’t
know too much about working out can use that as a reference. I also did the demonstration for the bench and
showed the safety of how to do it and students responded well as well.

Class went much smoother and I didnt have to worry about getting every group to every station. I did the
demonstrations and bench talk in time, where the students got to do all the stations. I let the football guys do
their workouts, but I should have emphasized with the class that if you don't have a folder or “Workout Plan”
for football, you can't do your own workout, because there were 2 students that were not in the program and
was in the same group
