What is a number system?

The number system is simply a system to represent or express numbers.There are vario
us types of number systems and most commonly used systems are Binary,Hexadecimal,
Octal and Denary System.

Why is it important?

The number system helps to represent numbers in a small symbol set. Computers, in ge
neral, use binary numbers 0 and 1 to keep the calculations simple and to keep the amou
nt of necessary circuitry less, which results in the least amount of space, energy consum
ption and cost.

PRACTICAL APPLICATION:
The number system helps us in identifying the extent to which we need to limit an entity.These give us
a general insight into the mathematical operations regarding the given numbers.This helps in the
calculation of numbers using mathematical operations.
