The Extent of Pressure Among Grade 11 STEM Students in Relation to the

New Schedule implemented by NOHS

Introduction

Every student have different perception about the full implementation of face to

face classes. It has negative and positive effect in every student. Currently, as a student, we also

perceive that implementation of face-to-face classes has various effect. In a face-to-face learning,

a group of students receive an in-person teaching on learning materials. This traditional form of

learning, enables real-time communication between a learner and a teacher.

According to Hatoum (2021), academic pressure and stress from heavy workload,

extensive time studying and high expectations have proven to negatively affect young people in

terms of their well being and health, as well as their academic performance.

Academic accomplishment is a key component of a person's growth and one of

the criteria for success. Face to face classes requires heavy duty for students. It gives challenge

for students to adopt to a new routine after 2 years of online class. These accomplishments

include obligations and call for having a certain objective in mind. The fundamental elements of

success are long study sessions, little sleep, and external pressure.

Thus, this study would like to determine on how the students of grade 11 STEM

students feels about and cope up with the full implementation of face-to-face classes. It aims to

know the outcome of the students after the full implementation of face-to-face classes. the

purpose of this study is to ascertain whether or not pressure has a significant impact on the
academic performance of grade 11 Stem students. It seeks to ascertain how much pressure

affects Stem students' academic performance.

STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM

This study aims to know the outcome of Grade 11 STEM students after the full

implementation of face-to-face classes.

Specifically, this study sought to answer the following questions:

1. What are the effects of the full implementation to the students of grade 11

STEM students?

2. Who is the most affected?

a. Students with high intellect

b. Students with average intellect

3. How does the full implementation of face-to-face classes influence the

academic performance of grade 11 STEM students?

SCOPE AND LIMITATION

This study aims to investigate the effects of full implementation of face-to-face

classes in relation to the academic performance of grade 11 STEM students. The researchers will

be limiting the study to the Grade 11 STEM students of Negros Occidental High School during

the academic year 2022-2023. The respondents will be given standardized questionnaires as

basis for survey.


The selected Grade 11 students should meet the requirements as participant in

light of the current state of the industry as well as the accessibility of resources. Additionally,

participants' information must be treated with the highest confidentiality and impartiality.
