Description

Redux 870 ÁJB is a two component high performance epoxy paste adhesive, ideal for use as a Liquid
Shim. This high temperature performing thixotropic adhesive has been specially formulated for bonding of
fibre-reinforced compos¡te and metal substrates.

It ¡s essential that all substrates to be used are Íree of contam¡nat¡on and are in as ¡deal a state for
bonding as possible. As pretreatment will significantly vary dependent on substrates being used, please
r6fer to the Hexcel publication Redux Bonding Technology for optimum procedures.

Storage
Redux 870 NB may be stored for up to 12 months at room temperature providing the components are

Handl¡nc and Safety Precaqtions

Hexcel products are safe to use providing that certain precautions, normally taken when handling chemicals, are observed.
The uncured mater¡als must not be allowed to come into contact w¡th foodstuffs or food utens¡ls, and measures shou¡d be
taken to prevent the uncured materials from coming ¡n contact with the sk¡n. lmpervious rubber or plastic gloves should be
worn in addition to eye proiection.

The sk¡n should be thoroughly cleansed at the end of each work¡ng period by wash¡ng w¡th soap and warm water. The use of
solvents is to be avoided. D¡sposable paper - not cloth towels - should be used to dry the skin. Adequate ventilat¡on of the
work¡ng area is recommended.
