Schools all over the world organize student exchange programmes to other countries.

Some
of them encourage students to take part in. But, is this a good idea or not?

On the one hand, the students during the exchange programme will feel lonely and miss
one’s family and friends. Also, such programmes might not suit and appeal to everyone. On
the other hand, they will participate in different activities and as a result, they will gain
valuable experience. In addition, they can get along with other students and also become
more open – minded. In my opinion, I think that students should take part in exchange
programmes, because they are very beneficial.

Another point to consider is that the students will pickup new vocabulary and they will
improve their speaking and listening skills but they will also find out new learning ways.
Furthermore, they can try staying with a host family in order not to feel alone.

All in all, I think that schools should encourage students to take part in the exchange
programmes because it’s a big chance to experience life in a different country and a
different way of life.
