all are having a great night today and welcome to our so lovely city Berlin! It’s
probably that you all are thinking “where is… "

Grinch- ah!, Schneemann, was? Oh abfbkbkjgsgskjrbgrksbjsskrjs *rharah* There

you are kids, and welcome to Wien!

Snowman- Grinch… we are in Berlin, not in Wien.

Grinch- Oh!, I’m so sorry, my bad! It’s been some time since the last time I came
here. So Snowman, want to say something to the kids this program?

Snowman-Of course! You know kids that on November 24 we celebrate the

Heiligabend, ofahi, I mean Christmas! Today people of all Germany used to decorate
their houses with lights, so beautiful!

And if you are not a German kid, you should know that in Germany we decorate our
houses like In the United States, so similar to each other!

Tonight, we normally eat a good piece of turkey or any meat in the world, we as
Germans, we eat EVERY meat that exist! If that meat can be eaten, we NEED to
taste that! We also eat a lot of sausages tonight! And kids, don’t forget the cookies!
We eat a lot of cookies like Lebkuchen or Spekulatius!

And of course, this day cannot truly be a Christmas day if we don’t have our
Weihnachtsmärke! These stores are decorated with a fully Christmas style! In those
stores you can buy anything, even If you are looking for some Christmas tree or
some light for your living room or for your tree!

And, we have our special characters! You can talk with Christkind, in English it means Jesus!
Do you know how to say Santa in german? It is Weihnachtsmann!

I’m tired, It’s your turn, Grinch

Grinch- Oh yes yes. In Germany we make a parade in memory of Jesus! On December 6,

St. Nicholas Day, children in Germany await the visit of St. Nicholas and his companion,
Knecht Ruprecht, who distribute sweets and gifts. In some cities, parades are organized to
celebrate this holiday.
In December we celebrate a lot of events, like the markets or parades across the country.
And of course, we celebrate the 25th december.
