GTE letter Instructions

How to write a GTE letter for the Department of Home Affairs

IMPORTANT TIPS
★ Keep in mind that this is the most important thing for you to get the Student Visa granted!
★ DoHA can refuse your visa if they are not satisfied with your knowledge and research about
the intended course of study and education provider
★ Never copy another persons’ GTE, as DoHA has a plagiarism detection system
★ Provide any appropriate documentary evidence when applicable
★ Be subtle & eloquent about how you present the following information in your letter
★ Make sure your letter represents your personal information and it is precise and your own.
★ Do not lie under any circumstances. If you have been denied your visa in the past or have
had a poor academic performance, admit to it instead of lying about it.

★ Focus on showing that you are a GENUINE (explain why you want to study this course and
how it will be beneficial for your career) and TEMPORARY student (will commit to leave the
country upon completion of the course).
